As we gear up for the KS95 for Kids Radiothon this Thursday and Friday, we wanted to take a moment to recognize, and thank, our generous sponsors who have made this year’s event possible.
Be sure to listen to 94.5 FM, KS95, on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7 for opportunities to have your gift matched by our KS95 for Kids partners.
We’re excited to welcome back the KS95 for Kids Radiothon to the airways on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7! Our 14th annual radiothon will broadcast live on 94.5 FM (and from Mall of America) with KS95′s Ryan and Shannon sharing incredible stories of local children who are triumphing over complex disabilities or childhood cancer.
Your Spare Change Means Big Hope for Kids!
Looking for a fun and easy way to make a difference in the lives of local children? Sign up for KS95′s Change for Kids program today! Collect change as a family, sports team, activity group, even at your workplace. Then bring your collected change to Mall of America during the KS95 for Kids Radiothon live broadcast, December 6 and 7. When you drop off change, we’ll also be handing out Nickelodeon Universe “Mystery Passes” which could get you one ride, multiple rides or unlimited rides at the park!
The KS95 for Kids Radiothon is among our favorite annual fundraisers. And this year, our friends at KS95 — morning show talent Melissa, Ryan, and Trey — helped us get the 2011 Radiothon off to a fantastic start. They invited two Gillette patients, Elijah and Braeden, to the KS95 studio along with their families and siblings, to record interviews that will be aired throughout the Radiothon.
This year’s event will again be held during the holiday season, from December 9-10, at Mall of America. During that time, you can tune into KS95 (94.5 FM) to hear stories of Gillette kids — kids who have disabilities, or are recovering from traumatic injuries — and kids fighting cancer who’ve been helped by Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF). As always, Gillette and CCRF split the proceeds.
Last December, the 12th annual KS95 for Kids Radiothon broadcast through a record-setting blizzard to raise money for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Although the blizzard didn’t dampen our spirits, it did, unfortunately, influence the number of call-in donations we received. We still need an additional $125,000 to meet our fundraising goal.
Sign Up Now to Collect. Then, Party with KS95 This Spring!
Help us continue the KS95 for Kids momentum — and regain the dollars lost because of the blizzard — by participating in KS95 for Kids Change for Kids™. Like the radiothon, the change collection program raises funds that benefit both Gillette and Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
Visit KS95’s Change for Kids webpage for details and to sign up. We’ll hold a change collection day at the Mall of America on Sunday, March 6. Participants who raise $100 or more will earn free tickets to an exclusive Nickelodeon Universe party with KS95 on Sunday, April 3.
Extra Change Means Extra Tickets
There’s no need to stop at $100. The more an individual collector, school or organization raises, the more free tickets will be earned. So why wait? Sign up, and start collecting, now!
