Sweet Surprise from Miss Minnesota Contestants
Gillette kids were treated to a sweet surprise earlier this week, when this year’s Miss Minnesota contestants – and our current Miss Minnesota, Kathryn Knuttila – visited Gillette for a morning of cookie decorating in our lobby. The ladies made friends with our patients and handed out signed photos.
The reason for their visit? All Miss Minnesota contestants raise funds for Gillette through Children’s Miracle Network. Kathryn, for instance, has raised more than $18,000 for Gillette through sales of her CD, Blessed Beyond Measure, which features original piano compositions written by Kathryn herself.
This Saturday, June 18, Kathryn will crown the new 2011 Miss Minnesota. We’re so grateful to Kathryn for all she has done for Gillette – and we’re excited to learn who our new Miss Minnesota will be! Here are some pictures of our patients’ fun day.
